HAVOC 2025

FRC Team 708 hosts HAVOC, an off-season FIRST Robotics Competition Event. The event allows teams to train their new team members, prepare for the upcoming season, and interact with the FIRST community.

9:00AM - Qualifying matches begin (5 matches per team)

Alliance Selection Rules

Overview of Rules:

• Alliance Selection will begin 8 minutes after scores are posted for the final qualification match
• Each team will be allowed to have up to 3 team representatives, up to 1 representative may be an adult, provided that a team's student representatives outnumber a team’s adult representatives
• Alliances will be given 45 seconds to make their pick in round 1, and 90 seconds to make their pick in round 2
• There will be a 2-minute break between picking rounds
• Team reps will come to the emcee who is in a centralized spot on the field to make their pick
• We’re eliminating the shuffling and reintroducing of teams by only bringing out an Alliance Captain when it’s their time to pick

DOuble Elimination Playoff Tournament

HAVOC uses the 2025 FIRST Double Elimination Rules.

An alliance ceases to be eligible for the finals upon having lost two matches in the double elmination bracket.

All alliances start “Round 1” in an upper bracket. Alliances that win matches progress through rounds in the upper bracket. Upon losing a match in the upper bracket, alliances move to a lower bracket. Alliances that win matches in the lower bracket then progress through rounds in the lower bracket. A loss in the lower bracket results in elimination from the tournament.

The winners of the upper and the lower bracket will play each other in a best of 2 out of 3 “Final Round” to crown the 2025 HAVOC Champions.
