Infinite Recharge @ Home

Infinite Recharge at Home brings two events to teams, including a judged awards component and a skills competition. For the judged component, teams describe their ROBOT’s technical qualities by sharing information with judges remotely to compete for traditional machine awards. As for the skills competition, teams demonstrate what their ROBOTS and drivers can do in a Skills Competition inspired by the INFINITE RECHARGE game from the 2020 season.

Both images were submitted for the judged component, allowing judges to see both the full robot and each individual subsystem.

Galactic search challenge

Score: 13.35 seconds
In the Galactic Search challenge, teams emulate the Autonomous Period of INFINITE RECHARGE gameplay by locating and collecting POWER CELLS as fast as they can on one of two pairs of paths.

Score: 32.5 seconds
In the AutoNav Challenge, teams program their ROBOTS to autonomously drive predetermined routes through three different paths as fast as possible.

hyperdrive challenge

Score: 1 minute and 9.34 seconds
In the Hyperdrive Challenge teams drive their ROBOTS remotely, without the assistance of preprogrammed navigation, through four different paths as fast as possible.

interstellar accuracy challenge

Score: 27 points
In the Interstellar Accuracy Challenge teams emulate the shooting challenges of INFINITE RECHARGE gameplay by scoring POWER CELLS into a representation of the BOTTOM PORT, OUTER PORT, AND INNER PORT from four zones. Teams attempt to score as many points as possible with their ROBOT (which is either autonomous and/or remotely controlled) in five minutes.

Score: 24 points
In the POWER PORT Challenge, teams emulate the teleoperated portion of INFINITE RECHARGE gameplay by collecting POWER CELLS with their ROBOT (which is either autonomous and/or remotely controlled) and scoring them into a representation of the POWER PORT. Teams attempt to score as many points as possible in the POWER PORT in one minute.
